Detailed Information/Report on Activities
A hybrid program of in-person and online international practical courses supported by JST Sakura Science Program. 26 in-person participants and 27 online participants from Bangladesh, India, Viet Nam, Hong Kong, and Japan.
In this course, four foreign and one Japanese guest lecturers talked about biodiversity of marine animals. In-person participants also did a collection of marine animals by snorkeling, plankton sampling using the research vessel IBIS II, artificial fertilization and observation of early development of a sea urchin, observation of the bioluminescence of sea firefly, and group discussion and presentation about marine organisms. Some parts of the lecturers and in-person course programs were also broadcasted by online.
