Detailed Information/Report on Activities

This research is an international collaborative research with Prof. Canning of Johns Hopkins, a leading authority on peripheral control mechanisms of respiration and swallowing, and Dr. Lever of the University of Missouri, who has established swallowing function evaluation in disease animal models. The objectives of this study is to elucidate the neural circuit of swallowing reflex using cough research techniques and to clarify neurophsiologically the movement pathology using disease model animal and further the relationship with oral function.
