Detailed Information/Report on Activities
In the 1990s, anime was matured as youth subculture and exported to East and Southeast Asia as the works made in Japan aimed for young adult audiences. This research investigates the choices (dubbing or subtitles) in audio localization in South Korea, Taiwan, and Singapore, and reconsider the processes of the reception of anime.
