Detailed Information/Report on Activities

In Ulaanbaatar city, water resource pollution with wastewater containing heavy metals from the tanneries, wool and cashmere industries has been a serious problem. Various treatment technologies such as chemical precipitation, membrane filtration, reverse osmosis, ion exchange, and adsorption etc. have been used for the removal of heavy metal ions from aqueous solution. Among these technologies, adsorption using biomass is most suitable and environment‐friendly method for removal of low concentration metal ion from aqueous media.
